Copper Nickel 70/30 Tubes/Pipes (C71500)
Copper Nickel, CuNi, 70/30 pipes are 70% copper, 30% nickel, and also contain iron and manganese. They are stronger and more resistant to corrosion, erosion, and impingement corrosion than other copper-nickel alloys, such as 90/10 tubes. CuNi 70/30 pipes also have high resistance to biofouling, which is the accumulation of microorganisms and organic materials on a pipeline’s inner surface, which can cause blockages and corrosion, which leads to significant repairs or replacements. Because CuNi 70/30 pipes resist biofouling, they require less frequent cleaning, which can reduce maintenance costs.
